Brain fart
Any help on homemade mixing medium? Somehow I forgot the ratio of the ingredients. Is it 50% glycerin and 50% water? 75% Glycerin and 25% water? I feel like a ditz for asking this =X

Redo from yesterday's crappy smokey eye....
I redid the smokey eye with Cinderfella yesterday and instead did it tonight on only one eye and with Blue Flame from the same collection. I think the shape looks a lot better--but I want your input!!
I'll post a pic of what I did yesterday and then tonight's look -- I apologize that I don't have on ANY other makeup other than on one eye--I really wanted to try again but only do one eye, so you've been warned!

custom mixing lipgloss
Okay, I am having a boring freezing night and I started organizing my makeup - leading me to discover items I forgot about! After sorting through my pigment samples, I found a mini tube of clear lipgloss I'd received as a free gift with a purchase that I'd ignored, because who cares about clear gloss. But pigments + clear + a few empty sample jars I found and I was inspired!
My camera batteries are charging so I'll take a picture later to post. I had a LOT of fun. Mixed a bunch of Rose pigment, a bit of Silver Dusk irisdescent powder, a bit of Blonde's Gold, a very small amount of Electric Coral, and a generous amount (but less than Rose) of Golden Lemon. I also had a sample of glitter from Aromaleigh, which is awesome micro glitter similar to reflects - it's a pink called Valentine, so I added a lot of that too. Holy gorgeous - so much shimmer and sparkle!
Okay, but obviously using chopped-off q-tips is not the best way to mix and apply these! I want to make more, but I don't want to gunk up my good Sephora lip brush. Can someone direct me to a source for disposable lip brushes or doefoot wands? And hey, while we're at it, spatulas and sample jars if I can get them from the same place too! Also, if anyone wants to sell me some pigment samples in lippie-friendly colors, I'd love to add a few more. Golds and browns as well as pinks, roses, reds etc would be lovely. I'll let you know if I have them already.
Does anyone else enjoy doing this? Want to share fun combos you've created?

if only real men were like rafe lol. i used to find him as luis on passions to be really irritating but im loving him on days a lot. im finding him much much more attractive too lol. and i love that brady and arianna are also from passions. i know theyve been on there for awhile and ive been meaning to post my liking to them for awhile now too lol.
does anyone have any theories who the woman who took sydney is? possibly an old character?

I will be going through Columbia or floorshow items next. I don't know if I have anything but if I do, I will post photos soon.
I only have a few sets left in the Janet buttons if anyone is interested. Does anyone have a suggestion on where to get shoe polish/paint that won't come off so easily? I'm looking to revamp a pair of my Janet shoes for myself. I also really could use a good Janet purse and a good hair dryer for Magenta if anyone has any inexpensive suggestions or is willing to trade for something that would be great!

Avatar review
Avatar was absolutely amazing. You have never seen anything like this before... seriously. The jungle setting Cameron has created is achingly beautiful... one moment you want to reach out and touch the softly luminescent seedpods that (thanks to the revolutionary 3D) seem to float around you, and the next you are recoiling from from a six legged beastie trying to gnaw your face off. The motion capture animation is flawless. Other than being 9 feet tall and blue, there is nothing to stop you from believing the Na'vi are as real as the live action actors they seamlessly share the screen with. The story is familiar, sort of "Dances With Wolves" with dashes of "Braveheart" and "Aliens". These are wide open archetypes though, and the stunning visuals allow us to experience them with a new sense of wonder. The battle scenes that dominate the third act alternately drop your jaw and tear at your heart. I'll be seeing "Avatar" again on Monday, this time on IMAX, and I can't remember a movie I have been so excited to re-watch a movie.

Love Lace swatches
A smaller collection, compared to Warm & Cozy (which I posted yesterday). It's also primarily cool. Love Lace includes a repromote of Raven and Feline Kohl Power pencils, plus blue-black newcomer Sense of Style. Nothing else really earth-shattering about it.

How well do CCB's work under eyeshadow? I'm looking to use them in place of UDPP, I ran out and have a wedding on Saturday. My new bottle most likely won't come in the mail by then. But anyway, I don't currently own any of the CCB's, and I was thinking about picking up a few from the counter to try.
I've used MAC paints and paintpots before but the colors I'm going to be using are rather light, and because I'm naturally pale the paints usually end up looking like a beige/gold color on me, which is sometimes difficult to cover with white shadow colors which I will be using in the look I plan on doing.
The CCB I'm considering is Luna.
